DCT Industrial Trust has made the necessary arrangements to purchase a four-asset industrial portfolio from an unnamed buyer. The deal for three
assets in Los Angeles and one in Chicago is reported to be worth $85.7 million, with nearly 563,000 square feet of class-A air-freight facility space up for grabs.
The three air-freight facilities in Los Angeles are located in the prime L.A. International Airport, a location known for low vacancy. The Chicago asset is located in the O'Hare International Airport submarket. DCT now controls 4.5 million square feet in Los Angeles and 4.1 million square feet of
industrial space in Chicago. DCT is coming off the heels of a mega-deal with Mayfield Properties last month, where DCT unloaded a class-B, 13-property, one-million-square-foot portfolio in Houston.
