Mount Sinai Medical Center, in partnership with WESTMED Practice Partners, will open up the 75,000-square-foot Brooklyn Heights Medical Group, which will occupy the 17th and 18th floors of the MetroTech building at One Pierpoint Plaza in
Brooklyn, New York. The reported agreement is said to be for 15 years.
Simeon Schwartz, MD, CEO of WESTMED Practice Partners said in a statement that patients have been found to "appreciate the one-stop shopping medical experience of an integrated multi-specialty medical practice.” He also added that people like the "convenience of a doctor’s visit that includes clinical lab testing and radiology services all under one roof.” The new clinic, which is set to open its doors in January of 2013, will offer primary and secondary patient services, as well as a full diagnostic center and an urgent care unit.
The building anchor, Morgan Stanley, just signed a new lease agreement for their 20,000-square-foot space, an extension that is good for 10 years. The previous tenant was Goldman Sachs.
